Wright Brothers 282nd Aero Composite Squadron - Civil Air
          Patrol

MEMBER TRAINING

Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is a non-profit public service organization devoted to emergency services, cadet programs, and aerospace education. Since 1941, we have served America by providing these humanitarian services using volunteer members. CAP volunteers are unpaid, professionally trained citizens doing good works through local community activities.

Officers HelpingHopefully, you will be able to see that CAP has plenty of opportunity for service, self-improvement, and personal satisfaction. Don’t be afraid to ask a question or volunteer for a job. You'll be guided along the way by a combination of written information, on the job mentoring, and networking with others in similar roles.

The squadron staff exists to assist the membership as they progress through their personal program of development. Both cadet and officer members follow a defined path of progression that allows them to experience followership, develop leadership, and possibly take on executive level command positions.

No matter what your goals within the Civil Air Patrol, if you apply yourself and utilize the training and resources provided to you, there is nothing that you can't achieve!
